Admissions

To begin the admissions process please contact our Admissions Department to discuss your child’s application.

You will find it helpful to then visit us either for an Open Day or a private visit, we would be delighted to welcome you and your family.

Admissions Process for SSC

If you then wish to proceed with the admissions process we will ask you to register your child and pay the £100 registration fee to reserve their place.

Once we have registered your child we will arrange entry tests. We will also obtain reports and references from your child’s current school. Successful completion of the entry tests will be followed by an offer of a guaranteed, or conditional, place at SSC.

We then ask parents to pay the £1.000 deposit, as a confirmation of the offer. This is held by the School until the payment of the final bill on leaving SSC.

Admission for boys and girls to SSC is normally at 14+ into Year 10 or at 16+ into the Lower Sixth Form (Year 12). Places occasionally become available for boys and girls for admission at 15+ into Year 11 or at 17+ into Year 13.

SSC’s Admissions procedure aims to ensure that boys and girls who join SSC are able to be happy, successful and secure within its academic, cultural, pastoral and spiritual environment, whether they are boarders or day pupils. Click here to download our Admissions Policy.
